Sassy
Sassy is a 24-year-old AQHA mare with a gentle nature who absolutely loves being groomed. She’s easy to ride and very kid-friendly, making her a great match for a child or grandchild who is just learning or wants a calm, easygoing ride.
Sassy does have Cushing’s disease, which is managed with Prascend and a controlled diet. She can be on pasture for short periods, but a grazing muzzle has been used in the past. This has worked well for her to prevent an exacerbation of her condition, but a dry lot is preferred. She will also need senior feed to help maintain her weight.
If you’re looking for a kind, steady companion, come meet this sweet girl!

Masie
Macie is an approximately 12 year old Hackney/Morgan pony mix. She is approximately 13 hands. She is gated and light ridable for kids. Her vet exam and xrays showed she has had an injury to her left hind leg, specifically the hock, that will require ongoing maintenance to keep her sound. She also has a history of laminitis which will require some dietary management. This little mare is super sweet and loves children. She will make a great addition for the right family willing to provide for her special maintenance needs.

Barbie
Meet Barbie, a 16-year-old AQHA mare with a heart of gold. Though a bit shy initially, she loves attention once she bonds with you. A former English show horse trained in hunter under saddle, Barbie arrived at Happy Tails Haven in April via a loving owner surrender.
Medical Note: Barbie was deemed pre-navicular a few years ago. She is currently barefoot and previously tried Equioxx still resulted in lameness. However, she thrives on full-time pasture turnout. Regular movement keeps her significantly more comfortable and less lame than stall confinement. Best of all, she is a total treat lover and will always be the very first one at the fence to greet you!
-
A True Socialite: This sweet girl is always the first to greet visitors, eagerly heading to the fence for a "hello" and some attention.
Barbie is looking for a partner who will appreciate her kind nature and well-mannered soul. If you’re looking for a companion who is as reliable as she is affectionate, Barbie is waiting at the fence for you!

Ginger
Ginger is 21 year old AQHA retired show horse who spent her earlier years competing in halter, showmanship, and leisure riding. She absolutely loves being groomed and pampered; scratch her on the withers or neck, and she will reward you with some hilarious, happy faces!
Mobility & Care Needs:
-
Condition: Has arthritis, resulting in some front-end lameness.
-
Management: Thrives on full-time pasture turnout. Constant movement keeps her much more comfortable than being stalled.
-
Seasonal Care: Benefits from Equioxx in the winter to help manage cold-weather stiffness.
Ginger is a sweet, easygoing mare looking for a peaceful retirement where she can get all the scratches she deserves.

Lainey
Meet Lainey
Status: Available for adoption | Breed: Paint Filly | Age: 3 Years; 14.3 hands
Rescued from a sale this past April, Lainey is a gorgeous young filly whose charming personality matches her striking coat. Although she came with a "halter broke" label from the auction, she is currently learning that humans can be trusted companions rather than just handlers. In mid-July, she spent a few days with a professional trainer to work on halter training and leading—where she acted like a bit of a dramatic queen over this new concept! During her time with the trainer, she also began learning essential skills like standing tied, as well as loading and unloading safely in a trailer.

Ella
Meet Ella
Status: Available for adoption | Age: 4 Years
Ella is a stunning four-year-old filly who arrived at our facility this past April from a horse sale.
Although she was sold as "halter broke" and potentially bred, we initially focused on building a strong foundation of trust before checking her status. It was quickly determined that Ella was not halter broke and she was barely handled by humans. In mid-July, Ella spent a few days with a trainer to be halter broke and learn leading skills, learn how to load and unload from a trailer, and practice standing tied.
Following her training, an ultrasound performed by our veterinarian on August 3, 2026, confirmed that she is approximately five months pregnant. Unfortunately, on September 2nd, 2026, Ella miscarried her foal.
