The Goats, Pigs, Dogs and Cats
Did you know our horse rescue and sanctuary isn’t just home to horses? 🐴 We also provide a safe haven for goats, pigs, and even a few friendly barn cats who help keep everyone company (and keep the feed room mouse-free)!
You can help us care for these lovable residents by becoming a sponsor. Your sponsorship helps cover:
-
Feed and hay for our goats and pigs 🐐🐖
-
Vet care and vaccinations to keep everyone healthy 🩺
-
Cozy bedding and treats for our hardworking barn cats 🐾
Sponsoring one of our non-equine friends is a wonderful way to make a difference — and you’ll get updates, photos, and plenty of heartwarming stories about the animal you’re helping.
Want to sponsor a goat, pig, or cat today? ❤️ Click on the words under their pictures to sponsor a goat, pig or barn cat or send us an email to happytailshaven.org@gmail.com!

Fred- Nigerian Dwarf/Fainting Goat
Fred is a Nigerian Dwarf Goat who came to the rescue a few years ago with his sister, Nellie. They were both in danger of going to the sale, so some kind humans rescued them and brought them to Happy Tails Haven. Fred is leash-trained and joins us at the nursing home visits and at booths in Rapid City. Fred only loves three things: people, attention, and most importantly, food. Fred's special requests are for you to sponsor him or donate so his humans can buy him his favorite thing, food, and more snacks.

Wilbur- Potbellied Pig
Wilbur is a potbellied pig who came to the rescue last year with his pig brother Pickles. He loves his apples, and if you bring him apples, you will be his new best friend! At first, he will greet you from afar, but once he gets to know you, he'll come greet you at the fence! Wilbur's requests a sponsor and apples!

Pickles- Potbellied Pig
Pickles came to the rescue last year with his pig brother Wilbur. Pickles absolutely loves people! He is the first one to greet you at the fence and is very talkative. He will tell you all about the day he had. He loves fruits and veggies and sunbathing! Pickles requests a special sponsor!

Merlin
Merlin is our black fluffly barn kitty who is probably the worst mouser known to mankind. He prefers not to chase his food and just tells the humans when to feed him! He is pretty shy but has his select few people that he loves and will follow around when chores are getting done. Sponsor Merlin today!
