The donations you give to Happy Tails Haven Horse Rescue and Sanctuary make an incredible difference—and here’s exactly how they help care for our horses.
Hay
Hay is one of our largest ongoing expenses. A single 1,500–1,900 lb round bale costs between $110 and $165, and we need 12 bales every month at $165 each—that’s $1,980 monthly just to keep our rescue and sanctuary horses fed!
Special Feed
Ten of our sanctuary horses require carefully tailored diets to meet their unique needs. Their feed may include senior feed, timothy pellets, Square Meal Biscuits—or a mix of all three—along with important supplements and medications like Cool Calories, Heiro, Previcox, and Prascend.

We use about one bag of each per day, which adds up to $349.92 per week, $1,049.76 per month, and a staggering $18,195.84 per year—not even counting supplements or biscuits (which average $15.99 per bag)!
